Birth is sacred. Whether in a hospital or at home, let me help honor your beautiful process of becoming a mother. Every woman has her own unique beliefs, hopes, dreams, and fears. She deserves a safe space to bring life through in her own intuitive way.
What does a birth doula do?
As a birth doula, it is my job to create intentional space in the busy lives of the parents, to really sink in and envision the birth of their child. To imagine and dream of what’s possible. To be a witness to the unfolding of their hearts in the form of life. From this cozy den, we then step into the time of birthing from a place of connection, clear sight, and grounded courageous hearts.
I will support both the mother and the birthing partner for the entirety of labor. Sometimes this looks like providing hands on physical comfort measures like scalp massage or a double hip squeeze to help relieve back pain. Other times it may sound like suggesting specific position changes to help labor progress smoothly. It always means helping the birthing partner be as involved as they want to be, and to make space for breaks to refresh as needed.
I want you to be you! My goal is for you to have complete freedom to say, do, and feel whatever is moving through you. Birth can be an incredibly primal experience, and I want you to have the full body*heart* mind*soul knowing that you can do no wrong. Whether it’s tears, roars, pleasurable moans, or sensual moments with your partner – know you have “permission” to be exactly as you are. I am here to hold this incredible loving space open for you to expand into. Likely, beyond what you may have known you were capable of.

A beautiful opportunity to reconnect and see how the first weeks of parenting are going, answer any questions about your birth, and share your experience.

I’m so glad I chose to work with Sarah for the birth of my first child!
